Facial contouring with hyaluronic acid fillers

Hyaluronic acid fillers are injectable treatments used to restore volume, refine facial contours and enhance overall facial harmony. At Dermique, our approach goes beyond simply adding volume to a specific area. Every treatment begins with a careful assessment of facial anatomy, proportions, skin quality and individual features. The aim is a fresh, balanced and natural-looking result that preserves the patient’s individuality without unnecessary volume.

Areas we treat with hyaluronic acid fillers

Under-eye area

Under-eye fillers may help improve hollowness and volume loss in appropriately selected patients. As this is a delicate area, filler is not suitable for every type of under-eye concern. Where dark circles are primarily caused by pigmentation, vascular factors or under-eye bags, alternative treatments may be more appropriate.

Nasolabial folds and marionette lines

Treating lines and folds around the mouth does not always mean injecting directly into the area. We first assess the underlying cause, which may include midface volume loss, tissue laxity, individual anatomy or skin quality. This allows for a more balanced, natural-looking result without adding unnecessary heaviness to the face.

Lips

Hyaluronic acid fillers can enhance hydration, definition, symmetry and the natural shape of the lips. Treatment can be subtle, focusing on freshness and definition, or more pronounced to enhance volume and shape — always in balance with the proportions of the face.

Chin and jawline

Precise contouring of the lower face can improve the profile, enhance jawline definition and create more harmonious facial proportions. Treatment may be suitable for a less defined chin, loss of contour or when greater balance of the lower face is desired.

Cheeks

Cheek fillers can restore or enhance volume in the midface. When precisely placed, they can improve facial contours, create a fresher appearance and provide subtle structural support to the lower face.

Hyaluronic acid fillers at Dermique

At Dermique, we use premium hyaluronic acid fillers from established international manufacturers, including TEOSYAL®, alongside other carefully selected medical products chosen according to the treatment area and desired outcome.

Different fillers vary in their consistency, elasticity and behaviour within the tissues. Product selection is therefore individual — softer formulations may be chosen for delicate areas such as the lips or under-eye area, while products with greater structural support may be more appropriate for the cheeks, chin or jawline.

What to expect during your filler treatment

Every treatment begins with a consultation and facial assessment, both at rest and in motion. We evaluate facial proportions, asymmetries, volume loss, skin quality and the patient’s desired outcome.

The filler is then precisely injected using a needle or cannula, depending on the treatment area and technique. A topical anaesthetic may be applied where appropriate. Results are visible immediately, although the final outcome is best assessed once any initial swelling has subsided and the product has settled into the tissues.

Frequently asked questions
Are hyaluronic acid filler treatments painful?
The treatment is generally well tolerated, and a topical anaesthetic may be used to improve comfort. Many modern hyaluronic acid fillers also contain lidocaine to further minimise discomfort during injection.
The duration of the result varies depending on the treatment area, the product used and individual factors. Hyaluronic acid fillers can typically last between 12 and 24 months, although results in more mobile areas, such as the lips, may fade sooner than in areas such as the cheeks or chin.
Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase when clinically appropriate. This provides an important option for adjusting or reversing treatment if necessary.
Downtime is generally minimal. Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising may occur following treatment and usually improve over the following days. We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise and excessive heat on the day of treatment and following the individual aftercare instructions provided by your practitioner.

Atrophic scars

Atrophic scars are indented scars that most commonly appear following acne or other inflammatory conditions. They are caused by a loss of collagen and uneven skin regeneration.

Appropriate treatment methods

At Dermique, we don’t treat acne scars using just one technique. Where necessary, we combine:
