Laser treatment of vascular lesions with DermaV by Cynosure Lutronic

DermaV by Cynosure Lutronic is an advanced laser platform designed for the precise treatment of facial redness, visible vessels, rosacea and a range of vascular lesions. At Dermique, we use DermaV for patients with redness-prone, reactive or sensitive skin, with every treatment guided by careful dermatological assessment and individually selected parameters.

How does DermaV work?
How does DermaV work?

DermaV combines two laser wavelengths — 532 nm KTP and 1064 nm Nd — allowing different types and depths of vascular concerns to be targeted.

The 532 nm wavelength is particularly suited to more superficial vascular concerns and redness, while the 1064 nm wavelength can target deeper and larger vessels. This allows treatment to be adapted according to the type and depth of the vascular lesion, treatment area, skin phototype and individual sensitivity.

The platform also features IntelliTrak™ technology, designed to support consistent and controlled energy delivery across the treatment area, while integrated cryogen cooling helps protect the skin and improve comfort during treatment.

The aim is to progressively reduce visible redness and vascular lesions with a treatment plan tailored to the individual condition of the skin.

What can DermaV treat?

Depending on individual assessment, DermaV may be used for:

  • rosacea-associated redness and persistent facial erythema
  • facial telangiectasia and visible vessels
  • visible vessels around the nose and cheeks
  • cherry angiomas and other selected vascular lesions
  • selected haemangiomas
  • port-wine stains and selected vascular malformations
  • post-inflammatory erythema
  • uneven complexion associated with vascular redness
  • selected pigmented lesions following dermatological assessment
  • selected acne-related redness and vascular components
As different vascular and pigmented lesions require different treatment approaches, an accurate diagnosis is essential before laser treatment.

Frequently asked questions
How many DermaV treatments will I need?
The number of treatments depends on the type, depth and extent of the vascular concern, as well as the treatment area and individual response.

Some isolated vascular lesions may respond noticeably after a small number of sessions, while conditions such as rosacea, diffuse redness or more extensive vascular changes may require a course of treatments and ongoing management.

The appropriate treatment interval and number of sessions are determined individually following dermatological assessment.
DermaV features integrated cryogen cooling designed to protect the skin and improve comfort during treatment.

Sensation varies depending on the area, indication and treatment parameters, but patients may experience brief warmth, stinging or a light snapping sensation during the procedure. Treatment is generally well tolerated.
Downtime depends on the indication and treatment intensity. Temporary redness, warmth or mild swelling may occur following treatment and usually subsides gradually.

With some vascular lesions, temporary darkening, bruising or other visible changes may occur as the treated vessels respond to the laser.

Sun protection is important following treatment, and your dermatologist will provide specific aftercare instructions according to the procedure performed.
DermaV combines 532 nm KTP and 1064 nm Nd wavelengths, providing flexibility when treating different vascular concerns and skin phototypes.

However, not every wavelength, indication or treatment parameter is appropriate for every skin type. Skin phototype, tanning status, the vascular concern being treated and individual risk factors are assessed before treatment to determine the safest and most appropriate approach.

Atrophic scars

Atrophic scars are indented scars that most commonly appear following acne or other inflammatory conditions. They are caused by a loss of collagen and uneven skin regeneration.

Appropriate treatment methods

At Dermique, we don’t treat acne scars using just one technique. Where necessary, we combine:
